Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The most modern purpose-built football stadium in England hosts four group games and a Round of 16 tie – a short train ride from central London.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium opened in April 2019 and immediately became one of the most celebrated new sports venues in the world, winning the 2021 Royal Institute of British Architects national award. It replaced the old White Hart Lane, which was demolished to make way for the new ground on the same site in north London.
The stadium is dual-purpose by design: it features a retractable grass pitch that slides away to reveal an artificial surface beneath, used for NFL games. It is the only purpose-built NFL venue in the UK, and has hosted the NFL London Games since 2019.
For Euro 2028, Tottenham is London’s second venue alongside Wembley, hosting four group stage matches across three different groups plus a Round of 16 tie. Its location in north London is straightforward to reach from both central London and Stansted airport.
