England ยท 2 Stadiums
London
The only city hosting two Euro 2028 venues – Wembley and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – and the stage for the tournament’s biggest week, with both semi-finals and the Final.
London is the only Euro 2028 host city with two venues, and it carries the tournament’s biggest moments: both semi-finals and the Final all take place at Wembley, while Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosts four group games and a Round of 16 tie across the other side of the city. Between the two grounds, London stages thirteen of the tournament’s fifty-one matches – more than a quarter of the entire competition.
As a host city, London brings scale that nowhere else on the list can match: five international airports, an Underground network that reaches every corner of the capital, and a depth of accommodation, food, and things to do that means there’s genuinely no wrong place to base yourself, whatever your budget.
The two stadiums sit on opposite sides of the city – Wembley to the northwest, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to the north – so if you’re attending matches at both, it’s worth planning your stay around whichever venue you’ll visit most, or somewhere central with good Underground links to both.

Full Venue GuideFive airports, two stadiums
Which airport suits you best depends on where you’re flying from and which stadium you’re heading to.
Heathrow
The closest major airport to Wembley (around 9 miles) and the widest choice of long-haul flights. Piccadilly line, Elizabeth line, or Heathrow Express into the city.
Best for: Wembley fixtures
Stansted
A direct train to Tottenham Hale puts you right by Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in about 35 minutes – genuinely convenient if that’s your match.
Best for: Tottenham fixtures
London City
The most central of the five, just 20-30 minutes from the centre via the DLR. Limited route network, but unbeatable for convenience.
Best for: Short hops, business routes
Gatwick
A strong second hub with fast trains to Victoria. Slightly further from both stadiums than Heathrow, but often cheaper fares.
Best for: Value with good links
Luton
A budget-carrier hub well connected by train and DART to St Pancras. Reasonably convenient for north London and Tottenham.
Best for: Budget European routes
Where to base yourself
A few areas worth knowing about, depending on which stadium – or both – you’re attending.
Wembley Park
The obvious choice if you’re focused on Wembley fixtures – walking distance from the stadium via the famous Olympic Way approach.
Stratford
The best-connected base if you’re attending matches at both venues – good Underground links to Wembley and a short ride to Tottenham.
Walthamstow
Good value without sacrificing transport links, with a short ride into central London and decent connections to both grounds.
Central London
The widest choice of accommodation, food, and things to do between matches, with the trade-off of a longer journey to either stadium.
